Definition: SonyEricsson Model Suffixes
SonyEricsson uses one letter suffixes as the end of each model number to denote location information. The key to each suffix is as follows:
“i” – This denotes an international phone model
“c” – This denotes a Chinese phone model
“a” – This denotes a North American phone model
The main difference between these location codes are the languages and keypad formats that each supports. Please note that some “a” models support American 850 and 1900MHz GSM bands, so in some cases the hardware does differ.
